About Me
A Passion for Upcycling
Protect the Environment
Preserving our environment is an ongoing topic. We’re constantly being reminded that we need to take care of the world we live in, how we use our raw materials and how we dispose of what we no longer need.
We are told that our raw materials are not endless (reads = limited) which means that we have to use what we have sensibly. This is especially true as far as energy is concerned.
We can all of us participate in this project by diminishing our carbon footprint.
Upcycling Reduces the Carbon Footprint
That’s where I try to do my best. In my designs I strive to keep my carbon footprint to a minimum.
I use raw materials that others have already used, and have rid themselves of. These are, among other things, leather jackets, silk clothing and even old tents which are, more often than not, on their way to being thrown away because they are unuseable for some reason.
But because I upcycle, a tear or a cigarette burn is of no concern to me, I simply use what is ok.
I Design Useful Items
Most of my designs hold something. The infinity totes hold “stuff”, the cord holders hold cords or knitting needles, and the books hold memories. .
